After what seems to be an eternity the sun finally shone here in Norwich today. A sunny day - especially after such a long spell without - makes me feel especially productive! I spent most of the day merrily listening to The Smiths and drawing my l'il heart out...

Love is a meaningless word...

Yesterday I felt totally uninspired.

And it's funny how inspiration can just suddenly jump out and scream 'Gotcha' - and your head is in a whirl with ideas. I spent a while yesterday afternoon browsing through some of my books. This is something which I haven't done in ages and something I should do much more often as it really chilled me out. I am a total workaholic so this was a rare moment for me! Flicking through some pages and enjoying the musty smells I came across the above piece of paper and felt like my mind exploded into a million tiny pieces...work is again in progress...

Where are my manners!

Today I have been having a little bit of a tidy up. I am one of those people - and I have blogged the evidence before - that has a terribly messy workspace. No matter how I try and organise myself the paper, the rubbish, the pencil shavings flow all over. I often dream of having some vast studio where everything is beautifully organised and I lounge about being dashingly creative at the drop of a hat - but let's face it, it would be an even bigger room full of old tripe! Anyways, during my tidy up this morning I came across forgotten mail - how rude of me! The lovely Yael Frankel contacted me a while back to organise a swap and declare her love for my work and I love a good swap as much as the next blogger...the beautiful set of postcards she sent me unfortunately met their doom in the studio and I only excavated them from the piles today!! Thankyou Yael they are beautiful!

Hmmm...interesting...

I was just purusing my flickr page this afternoon and took a moment to look at my most 'popular' images in order of 'interestingness'. I quite like the word interestingness - it sounds like the kind of made up word that I would make up and I really like making up words. But anyways, it would seem that 'Your House from Mine...' the picture that never made it to an actual print run is the winner! Plus all of your lovely comments on it have made me start to reconsider whether I might maybe just make 10, if my brain can stand the stress of the registration...maybe.

It seems to have finally stopped raining - enjoy your weekend!

What's a girl to do...

What's a girl to do, eh? It's been raining on and off for weeks with barely a second of real summer sunshine to have been seen...that's it! Buy some new shoes to make the day go with a swing! I have been searching for the ultimate pair of quirky brown flats for sometime now to no avail but stumbled across these beauties in Topshop this morning! I shall spend the rest of the day wearing them around the house to break them in whilst finishing up a few more drawings...
