Thanks for stopping by...

A big thank you goes out to Holly from decor8 for yet another shop mention and Heather from dooce for mentioning my barely tangible print on her daily style section yesterday...I am knee deep in orders as I type but thought I'd take a moment to say Hi! to anyone visiting and thanks for stopping by...

If you're off to visit the Restless Things shop to snag a print for yourself and it's out of stock, don't worry! I am regularly checking up on sales and re-listing anything that becomes out of stock.

Shop update...four at four...and a give away!

The grand shop update will be happening today at around 4pm GMT with four new prints being added.

After a series of requests the ever popular 'In The Dark, Do I Exist?' will finally become available...

Also we have 'Just Let Loose Don't Loose...' which sprang from my obsession with a Wildbirds and Peacedrums song...I feel a post on obsession and repetition may be coming on...

'Years of Fun and Misery...' with perhaps one of my favorite found notes ever...find a transcription of the note here...

And last but not least 'Hurry Up, I'm Slipping...' my absolute personal fave of the bunch...

All prints will be in a signed, limited edition of 50 each and are printed on 285gsm Hahnemuhle Torchon paper (which has a lovely, soft watercolour paper texture to it)...

SHOP UPDATE GIVE AWAY! The first person to buy the first in each edition of the above prints will also receive their choice of 4 mini prints absolutely free! What a bonus! Get your self on over to the shop and buy one today!

The post with no title...

Now I know I promised some lovely new pics of larger things I have been working on once my lovely new A3 scanner arrived however, the scanner wasn't up to par to be honest so we will have to go without (picture a sad face here).

I have also realised today that I forgot to mention a show I am taking part in at Mahan Gallery in Columbus, Ohio called 'Isn't It Romantic?'...if you're in the area make sure you get down there as there are lots of interesting artists taking part! Hot off the press there is an article about the show here...with a nice pic of one of my pieces!

Have a fab weekend, I will be back on Monday with a big shop update - 4 or possibly five new prints on their way!!

lost and then found...

A few months ago I was out doing the rounds at my favest charity shops, hunting for old books and bits of paper as I do, when I came across a sketch of a face inside a book cover so totally beautiful in it's simplicity but 'ruined' by a big scribble over the top. I put it back on the shelf and told myself 'never mind, there are plenty more things to find in old books out there...'

In the past few months since I saw that scribbled out sketch I have thought about it frequently. Wishing that I had just spent a few pence on it and brought it home to think about whether it was worthy of becoming a piece of my work.

Out wandering in the sunshine today I went into the very same shop for a browse. I always start with the books and my interest was instantly piqued by a small red book with a scrap of tatty paper used as a marker...

...perfection.

I do find 'humble devotion' a strange term of endearment from parents to a son/daughter though.

Soundtrack to a sunny day...
