Here's part one of a new piece I'm working on. More to follow...

I always have music on whilst I'm working away in the studio but today I have had so many great new tunes to listen to! I've had the new Fourtet ep blaring out, 'Sool' Ellen Alien's new album - minimal but hypnotic and I've finally decided that yes, I do like Fleet Foxes after all.

I'm going to make some more tea, turn up the volume and crack on...

wolfie got a brand new home...

Isn't it always the case that you come across lots of exciting things you forgot you had when you have a good tidy up?! Well, it is if you are like me and you have mountains of stuff to loose things in. One thing I uncovered yesterday is the album 'The Locked Suitcase' by Sibyl Vane who asked if I would be interested in contributing my wolf drawing for the inside cover of their cd.

What's the best thing you ever came across when tidying up?

Work in progress today...

Here's a little peek at some work in progress for you today...I was going to paint her but now I'm thinking that I prefer the uncomplicated combination of sun-bleached paper with a simple pencil line. What do you think?

It was interesting to read Holly's post 'career advice for creatives' yesterday and to read all of the different comments. I've certainly been in this situation myself and it's good to read about how others have coped. It's really wonderful that we have these kind of life changing options open to us 'nowadays' - what on earth would I have done 150 years ago besides work in the workhouse for some gruel!?

Feeling much brighter today, might be something to do with the chocolate chip cookies I bought to help me sail through the storm :))

Shop update...

I know I'm slightly late in posting the details of the shop update...I've been in too much of a grump for the past couple of days! Ugh - all gone now though!

So - new prints - in the Restless Things shop now...

I love this piece so much. And to think that I nearly didn't buy the book with that drawing in at a charity shop because I am too much of a shrewd tight-arse and it was £2.50 - which I think for most people would be way too much for a tatty old annual covered in scribble. However I managed to have a moment of clarity and reasoned with myself that it had great potential...

Mander

Such a poor boy, eh? I've been hanging on to this book cover for a long while just itching to find the right drawing that would work with it. It sounds like such a pathetic insult eg. 'You're such a Mander!' and this little weasel boy suited it down to the ground. Someone should buy him a meal...

Uneasy

This was a piece that originally was in the Paper Dolls show at Pulp in January. I'd kind of forgotten about her until last week so I thought I'd wheel her out for a few prints. It was one of those pieces I made when I was still finding my feet (well, I still am and probably always will be) with my style but after hours of laborious washes she came out a treat. You can see a work in progress set on flickr for this piece here.

So there you have it. All prints are available in both standard and large sizes which is something I'm aiming to do for all new prints. Mini prints will be along a little later. Speaking of mini prints there are also new minis of Barely Tangible and Twenty-seven Months Old.
