slow

things are pretty slow around here on the drawing front as you may well have noticed if you stop in regularly. i'm in a rut. i feel uninspired, it's been going on for some time now (weeks not days) and i'm trying not to let it phase me.

i'm trying to enjoy the little things this week. coffee, pizza and cake al fresco; Toast brogues bought at a car boot this morning for £3 (in my size and barely worn!!?!). just fyi - we don't entirely exist on pizza. i also completed my tax return so you know things are bad!

it will come though...

So true - it will come! I have to remind myself of this, as well. I'm currently so tired from being hugely pregnant, that I haven't spent any of my free time in my studio (like 2 months!), or even blogging. Completely uninspired...
On the other hand, I've been trying to enjoy picking strawberries from my garden, making cheese, general puttering around the house. Whenever I start to feel guilty about not being "creative" enough, I try to remember that no one can constantly give of their heart and soul, without some occasional periods of re-generation!

Enjoy!!

I have weeks like that too, and just try to enjoy other things ~ gardening, reading, walking, camping, whatever. I find my creativity ebbs and flows in cycles: I hear a great phrase recently: "mental composting," ~ it's what's happening when the artist appears to be just staring out the window...

It will come back, it always does! :)

next time the mister says he thinks i've just been looking out the window all day i will def tell him that is what i am doing :)

I think art-making has a lot of behind-the-scenes shifting and running around; a lot's going on in that brain of yours even though it might not be sharing it with you all the time!
